The Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Races is one of the most important fixtures for the world's leading horses, jockeys, trainers and owners.
Taking place at Sha Tin on December 11 this year, the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Races comprise four championship events on turf worth a combined HK$56m (approx. US$7.19m). The races are:


The Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Cup (Gr.1-2000m ¡V HK$18m ¡V approx. US$2.3m)
The Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Mile (Gr.1-1600m ¡V HK$14m ¡V approx. US$1.8m)
The Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Vase (Gr.1- 2400m ¡V HK$14m ¡V approx. US$1.8m)
The Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Sprint (Gr.1 ¡V 1000m ¡V HK$10m ¡V approx. US$1.29m)

These four races attract scores of thousands of international race fans to Sha Tin for Hong Kong's largest sporting event staged in Hong Kong; it is a meeting that is fast gaining a reputation as the Turf World Championships.
