The jockeys are randomly allocated their mounts in a draw.
Point-scoring works as follows: for each of the three races 12 points are awarded to the winning jockey; six points to the first runner-up, four points to the second runner-up.
The champion jockey will be the one accumulating the most points during the three designated races and will receive a bonus of HK$200,000. The first runner-up will receive HK$100,000. In the event of any jockeys sharing equal points, the jockey who attains the highest number of first placings will be the winner. If the number of first placings is the same, the number of second placings will be taken into account and, if necessary, third placings and then fourth placings until a winner is determined. If the ranking still cannot be decided after applying these conditions, the jockeys involved will share the ranking concerned and the appropriate bonuses. A memento will be presented to all participating jockeys, owners and trainers.
